Overview: The Dixie National Forest is hiring for a Front Desk Intern on the Powell District. This office is located in Panguitch Utah at 225 East Center Street. This position will be primarily office based. A thorough understanding or capability of each of the responsibilities listed below is not required but a positive attitude and an aptitude to learn and apply new skills is essential. (***housing is not provided for this internship)

Position Responsibilities:

  1. Customer support and greeting public.
  2. Answering phone calls and directing messages.
  3. Proficiency in Microsoft word and excel.
  4. Document scanning and management.
  5. Cash management and handling.
  6. Database entry and paper filing.

Qualifications:

Qualifications:

  1. Students interested in providing exceptional customer support.
  2. Must be 18 or older with high level of maturity.
  3. Previous experience in an office setting preferred.
  4. Forest collection officer experience a plus but not required.
  5. Familiarity with permit systems encouraged.
